Class 3/4-1 will be hosting their Grammar Rock Concert and Poetry Presentation on Tuesday March 5th!
All parents are welcome to attend.

Welcome to James W. Hill Public School. Myname is Justin Lemieux and I am your child’s Grade 3/4 -1 teacher. The past twoyears have been an incredible success at James W. Hill and I am very excitedfor our 3rd school year! There have been many exciting things goingon at JWH over the summer including the installation of our new climber! I feelvery fortunate to be part of such a terrific community.
I look forward to getting to know your childbetter over the next few weeks. As the Grade 3/4-1 teacher I will beinstructing your child in Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, Science, Phys Edand Visual Art. I encourage you to join us for the James W. Hill BBQ andCurriculum night on September 20th. This is a great opportunity foryou to ask any questions pertaining to what your child will be learning andgeneral inquiries about the upcoming year.
Our class website is http://www.chatt.hdsb.ca/~lemieuxj/ . On thiswebsite you will find information about what we are currently covering in allsubjects, routines/ expectations. Students in junior grades (grade 4 and up) will be expected to completehomework on a regular basis. All assigned work will be posted on the website aswell. I will be updating the website frequently; however it is also veryimportant that you review your child’s agenda on a daily basis for notices,announcements, and letters home. I will require that you sign off on yourchild’s agenda on a nightly basis. The agenda should be
carried to every class,as this is an important organizational tool and learning skill.
I request that all parents/guardians provideme with at least one email; this will be used for quick contact with you in thefuture. Feel free to send me a quick email (lemieuxj@hdsb.ca) introducing yourself. I also encourage youto share any information that you think would be important for me to know(e.g., allergies, concerns). Also, please take the time this week to fill outthe Parent Questionnaire that I have prepared and return it in your child’sagenda.
