The Pine Grove Library consists of over 20 000 titles to appeal to students at different levels of reading and with a wide variety of interests in grades 1 through 8, in English and in French.
What's New?
Forest of Reading Once again this year, Pine Grove School has participated in the Forest of Reading program. This program is run by the Ontario Library Association and is a celebration of the work of Canadian authors and illustrators for all age groups. The goal of the program is to foster the love of reading and as a school, we attempt to provide access for all of our students to the fabulous books in this program through integration of the books into each grade's curriculum. Library Barcodes: All students at Pine Grove have a Pine Grove Library bar code number. Students in grades 5-8 have an individual barcode on a sticker which they have placed in the front cover of their agendas. Students in grades 1-4 have a generic barcode that can be used by all HDSB students. These barcode can be used to access many of the databases and other online resources from the HDSB Elementary Internet Tools page. HDSB library services also has many titles available in audio and ebook format that are aimed at grades 5-12. Younger students may use the generic barcode to access BookFlix form the Elementary Tools Page. Parents are advised to assist students in choosing age appropriate titles because of the wide variety of topics and grade levels offered. Please see the HDSB Links page on my
